The inaugural event generated more than 1,200 business matching meetings, representing an estimated business value exceeding THB 2.2 billion. More than 600 participants, including content companies, production studios, distributors and streaming platforms from Thailand and overseas, took part across the film, television series and production services sectors. Throughout the three-day event, BICM2026 attracted enthusiastic participation from content creators, buyers, and investors across the region, highlighting the industry\u2019s demand for a dedicated marketplace where content can be traded, financed, and co-produced through a structured business platform. The event\u2019s flagship Business Matching program facilitated one-to-one meetings between content owners and buyers from Thailand and abroad, resulting in concrete business opportunities ranging from content licensing and adaptation rights acquisitions to international co-production agreements.
BICM2026 also strengthened Thailand\u2019s collaboration with leading content markets across Asia, including QCinema International Film Festival (Philippines), JAFF Market (Indonesia), Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) (Taiwan) and Danang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF) (Vietnam). These partnerships further reinforce Thailand\u2019s strategic position as the Gateway to ASEAN, providing access to a consumer market of more than 700 million people.
Another major highlight was the BICM Pitching & Awards, supported by White Light Studio, Kantana Sound Studio, Gear Head, and QCinema International Film Festival. More than 55 production-ready film, series, and screenplay projects were presented to international investors and an esteemed panel of industry experts.
